    The need for Beyul

Scientists estimate that 35% of microplastic pollution in oceans comes from textiles. That’s about 2.2 million tonnes of microplastic entering the ocean each year. Microplastic is so prevalent that it’s been found almost everywhere on earth, and has just been found in human blood from healthy adults.

    How Beyul bags work

Beyul bags catch microfibres from clothes before they enter the ecosystem. Once caught, you can more safely dispose of the fibres. There’s also the added benefit of washing your clothes more gently, so that they end up lasting longer. More about the bags, and tips on how to use them can be found here.

    The Beyul story

How can we make saving the environment simple, effective, transparent, and maybe even fun? Beyul’s founder was looking for a way to help reduce her own ecological footprint, and realised that there weren’t many accessible options where she was located, in Vietnam. She decided to take matters into her own hands, and Beyul was born.
